Set amongst the rolling hills with views reaching out to the Remarkables mountain range, Lake June boasts an impressive 15m x 35m premium marquee with a large back garden area, making this the largest venue offering onsite at NZ High Country.

The Lake June marquee is a permanent fixture onsite, making it useable year-round. The marquee interior is separated into 3 spaces, and has the ability to contract or expand, offering capacity from 100 to 500.

Discover Lake June Marquee, the premier event space nestled in the heart of NZ High Country. Surrounded by rolling hills and breathtaking scenery, this 15m x 35m state-of-the-art marquee is designed to host celebrations of all kinds.

With floor-to-ceiling glass panelling throughout, a curved inflated ceiling, and an outdoor garden area, Lake June’s rustic country style serves as a blank canvas to bring your vision to life. Festoon lighting illuminates the entire space, creating a magical atmosphere for your event.

Join us at Lake June Marquee and make your special occasion a truly unforgettable one.

As you enter, you'll be greeted by a spacious entranceway that extends from the front of the marquee to the back garden. Walk towards the left and you’ll find a large bar and lounge area.

Equipped with an impressive 8m wide timber bar, timber leaners, and bi-folding glass doors that seamlessly connect indoor and outdoor spaces, it's the perfect place to gather and socialise.

Upon entrance of the marquee, to the right is the Lake June dining room that features floor-to-ceiling glass panelling, and flexible timber interior panelling that can be adjusted to suit your group size.

Included in your venue hire are extra wide walnut trestle tables and mix-matched timber chairs, all styled to complement the rustic interior.

The venue is surrounded by natural landscapes, making Lake June Marquee a truly breathtaking event location. Step outside into the expansive garden area and enjoy the natural landscape and scenic surroundings.

The marquee's outdoor garden provides ample space for socializing, activities, and even helicopter landings.

Venue Hire Inclusions

The below list is all of the items included in your venue hire at Lake June for up to 150 people:

  • Exclusive marquee hire.

  • Use of marquee for 2.5 days including: the day before hire date for pack-in and setup, plus the morning after event for pack-out.

  • Up to 28 x walnut finished trestle tables (table linen optional).

  • Up to 150 x mix-matched timber chairs.

  • Full marquee infrastructure including the bar area, bar fridges, leaners & internal walkway.

  • Festoon lighting across the entire venue.

  • Hanging floral hoops.

  • Generator power & fuel for a standard evening function.

  • One diesel heater & fuel suitable for Autumn or Spring seasons.

  • Bathrooms with internal access from marquee.

  • Sound System suitable for speeches and/or iPad music.

  • Two self-standing easels with an A1 vintage frame suitable for seating plans or similar.

  • Large outdoor timber tables with seating for garden area.

  • A modular stage for DJ or band.

  • Various lounge furniture and coffee tables in bar/lounge room.

Lake June has everything you require for an outstanding event with regards to infrastructure and subtle decor.

Your event will still require :

  • Professional catering & bar staff.

  • Professional transportation for all guests.

  • Styling & Entertainment.

 The Fine Print

Please take the time to fully read and digest our fine print,
as it is an important element of each venue hire.

  • All pricing is quoted in NZ dollars and inclusive of GST. All pricing is subject to change.

  • Your event pack in day is from 9am to 5pm and your pack out timings are from 9am to 12pm.

    If extra time or days are needed beyond the above timeframes, please let us know as there is an additional charge.

  • We only permit Approved Catering & Transport Suppliers at NZ High Country. Outside of these suppliers, permission is required and may incur additional fees.

  • Whilst NZ High Country is a BYO venue, the service of alcohol must be managed by approved caterers with the necessary licensing.

    We do not take a corkage fee.

  • At Tussock Point, the package cost is based on a simple ceremony only. If additional time or infrastructure is required, there may be an additional venue hire charge.

  • If you are not using the chairs or tables at Lake June, there may be a labour / storage cost.

  • The walls in the dining area of Lake June are moveable, hence the capacities being flexible. In some cases, there could be a labour charge to move the walls.

    If you require a personalised floorplan, we are happy to help with a $50 surcharge.
