Covered with thick luscious grass that falls away into the stunning Lake Wakatipu behind, this large levelled site provides a blank platform for you to create your dream event, wedding, welcome drinks event or celebration.

Make the site come alive with tents or a marquee to ensure you’re covered, rain or shine. Or, keep it easy and leave the site empty so that you and your guests can simply enjoy the million-dollar views with no distraction.

Wedding Celebrations at Tussock Point

Tussock Point stands apart as an exclusive land-only option, perfect for couples who relish the chance to bring their own infrastructure to create a unique setting that is entirely to their taste.

But for those who are simply interested in using Tussock point for their ceremony or welcome drinks location, we offer the option to package Tussock Point with our Lake June site.

You can begin your celebration with a memorable ceremony or delightful welcome drinks amidst the breathtaking beauty of Tussock Point. Then, transition seamlessly to the comfort and convenience of Lake June Marquee for a splendid dining experience, entertainment, and continued celebrations. This way, you get the best of both worlds, creating lasting memories in a picturesque natural setting and a well-appointed venue.

Ceremony-Only at Tussock Point

Ceremony-only weddings at Tussock Point are only available to book on Mondays, Tuesday & Wednesdays, year-round when booked within 4-months of your wedding date.

While it is possible to do only a ceremony at Tussock Point, we encourage couples to combo this space with Lake June for a truely unforgettable wedding experience. All pricing is listed at the bottom of this page.

Corporate Welcome Drinks & Cocktail Events

This land-only location is a blank canvas for your creativity and can be transformed into whatever you imagine, or keep it clear to simply enjoy the view.

For the epitome of luxury, consider a heli-charter for your guests, delivering them directly to Tussock Point where you can coordinate an expert catering team to delight them upon arrival.

Hosting a Gala event? Combine the two, and after the cocktail hour finishes at Tussock Point, then escort your guests down to the Lake June Marquee for an exquisite evening like no other.

What else is needed at Tussock Point?

Tussock Point is a land-only option.

Your event will require :

Any required structures.
Catering, if required.
Professional Transportation for all guests.

Tussock Point Pricing

The use of Tussock Point depends on the level of infrastructure that you plan to bring onsite. All pricing is for land-only.

$4,500
This package is for you if your event requires easy infrastructure that can be set up on the day and cleared immediately after the event.
No additional pack-in or pack-out days are included.
$6,000
This package is for you if your event requires minimal infrastructure that can be packed in, and packed out is within the one day, between 9.00am to 5.00pm.
This can also include the likes of toilets or a small marquee onsite that may not be able to be removed straight away.
$9,000
The Hirer is entitled to one additional day for pack in OR pack out only, between 9.00am to 5.00pm.
On the Event Date, the Hirer and its suppliers and guests are permitted onsite between 9.00am to 7.00pm.
$ 11,500
The Hirer is entitled to one additional day for each of pack in and pack out, with access permitted between 9.00am to 5.00pm each day. On the Event Date, access is from 9.00am.
Noise curfew is 12.00am with guests departing by 12.30am. Pack out that evening must concluded by 1.30am.
$2,500 when combo’d with Lake June hire, based on a simple ceremony.
Price is in addition to Lake June cost.

Option only available midweek on Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays. Inquiry must be within 4-months of event.
Ceremony-only bookings with a longer lead time can be held at Country Courtyard for mid-week. Upgrading to Tussock Point (if available) is possible from 4-months out.
